Tri Dip
For the last few month my friend Jason and I have been training for the Escape to Miami Triathlon consisting of early morning 20+ mile bike rides, swims and runs. A few weeks ago the day finally came to show our stuff and do the entire race with a . 9 Mile Swim, 25 Mile Bike and 6.2 Mile Run.
It was a pretty tough - but good - race. We biked over bridges 8 times on our bike and twice on...

Be Excited About Bean Dip
Here is my first dip for hire. It was for work - but it still counts! They paid for the supplies! haha.
So at the lovely Planned Parenthood we are rolling out a new computer software to get with the times and have been training for on it for weeks (UGH). So gotta love the IT guys to cheese it up to make it a little more “fun!” I mean look at the logo.
So to celebrate the last...

Wedding Day Dip
In July I was in Gainesville for my dear friend Olysha’s wedding. The day before the big day I spoke to my brother and told him what I was up to. His one question to me was, “you making a bean dip?” He was not joking - but totally serious. I was actually surprised I didn’t think of it myself. Now it had to be done.
While thinking of what I could do for a wedding bean...

Florida Vs Tennebean Dip
My friends Alex and Shaun are having a UF v TN game housewarming party. This 2+ hour dip is their lovely present for the party.
While the dip came out pretty great - it was pretty difficult to name it. Had to call in my go to pun pal for a name. Other than the chosen name, we came up with :
Bean Hill Griffin Dip
Swamp Dip
Flori-dip
….. But If You’re Not a Gator,...

Spongebob Bean Pants
My niece, Ellie had her first birthday party in July -so I had pull out the big guns for this party. She LOVES sponge bob and figured that would be a great dip for a kids party.
This is her frozen in her playpen watching our dear yellow friend:
Yeah. It came out pretty awesome. To date, this dip was eaten the LEAST by people. No one wanted to ruin it. I would say maybe a quarter was...

X-Bean
My friend Greg turned 28 this week and was having a football-hangout-bbq-birthday party. So naturally I decided to make a bean dip. When asking him what he wanted I through out ideas of things I knew he liked: NY Jets, X-Men and the Ninja Turtles. And of course he said “all three.” Well that was not going to happen - but I knew I could at least get two in one.
So here ya go -...

The Beanles
My friends Karen and Greg were the winners of the contest to name my blog. Of course I was gonna choose the Star Trek pun. Anyhoo, when they were having their Labor Day bbq I told them I would bring a dip - since they were the winners of a bean dip of their choosing - which was their favorite band, The Beatles. I chose Abbey Road because it’s a pretty recognizable album cover - even if...

Beanality!
When you are having a Mortal Kombat bbq with game playing (which was started the night before) and movie watching (only the first - the rest is a no-no) you have to have a bean dip.
This took me about an hour and a half hand placing each and every little bean. I’m pretty proud of that little shading in the background - cheese is pretty EXCELLENT that way.
…. Suffice to...
